Field Trip Information

Dear 21st Century Parents,

Yesterday your child brought home two important documents in their backpack.   The first one is information about an exciting field trip scheduled for Saturday, March 4 at AR 4H Center.   Students will experience fishing, archery, and indoor rock climbing.  There are two permission slips needed.  The permission slips are due back tomorrow (Friday) by 8:00 a.m.  The 4H Center has to know in advance who all will be attending.   We will not be able to accept any permission slips past 8:00 a.m. Friday.   Please see attached for more information and a copy of the permission slips.   Don’t miss this exciting field trip!

The second important document is a survey that is inside an envelope marked confidential.   Please complete and return the survey.   The survey let us know what we are doing right and areas where we need to improve to better serve the students.

If you have not had a chance to subscribe to   please do so now.   Here you will get updates and view photos of your children enjoying 21st Century After School.

Thank you so much for your continued support and your dedication to your children!

There will be no 21st Century After School on Monday (students are out) or Tuesday for parent conferences.   21st Century will resume Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Visit

Earlier this week, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra visited Carver’s 21st Century program. The students learned about the orchestra and had the pleasure of listening to one of their best viola players. They also learned about the different families of instruments and got to see how they all work together in harmony. Thank you Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for such a wonderful program!

Arkansas Arts Center Field Trip

Today, we took the students to the Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre. We watched the Laughable Legend of Fancybeard the Bully Pirate and the photography club students viewed the Ansel Adams photography exhibit. All the kids did a great job today! Thank you Ms. Rediitt, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Dittmore, Mrs. Cook and Mr. Crader for helping today!
