This semester, fifth grade students in Mr. Crader’s after school class are participating in the Stock Market Game (https://www.stockmarketgame.org/). Students were given $100,000 a few weeks ago to invest. The kids will learning about how the stock market and investing works. Students make trades on a weekly basis to try to make the most money. They are competing against 1-12 grade students throughout the sate to see which team can make the most money. We have three teams that are doing very well. We will post an update later in the semester to give folks an idea of what the students learned from the game.
Our next field trip date has changed. It is not March 10. Our field trip to 4H Arkansas Outdoor School has changed to Saturday, April 7. You do not want to miss this field trip! It was our favorite last year. Students will experience fishing, archery, and more. Please change the date on your calendar. The information and permission slip are linked below:
This week we continued our study of black and white photography. Here are some of the best images of the week!
This afternoon, 21st Century students enjoyed a play (The Snowy Day) at the Arkansas Arts Center. After the play ended, our students got to go on a scavenger hunt throughout the museum which eventually led them to finding a prize. Here are a few photos of today’s adventure!
Students photographed everything in black and white this past week. When color is subtracted from a photograph sometimes you have to work harder to capture a good photo. Here are some of our favorites from this week’s theme.
